  • Joliet Junior College, Sir Melvin van Horne MBE (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
I have been familiar with this "educational institution" since it's founding. (Of course, in those days it was still known as Lord Puddingshire's School for Hemophiliac Boys) Myself and my fellow students learned the fine arts of Key Smithing, Shower Buggery, Genitalic Hygene, and Custodial Arts, those being the only "degrees" worth pursuing. Upon my return from the killing fields of Flanders, I was appalled to discover that this institution had transformed into something less than the high calibre place of study that I had come to know while I was lad. This "junior college" is not worth the refuse it was erected upon. (This fine city has become renown for its odors; when motoring down Interstate 80, I must put the Top on my Bentley into its upright position - less I be suffocated from offal) I would not even have bothered to use these "degrees" to wipe my arse with while being bombarded by Duke von Schmetterling's artillery at Passchendaele. And believe me, ye reader, loo paper was in high demand and short supply at this Third Battle of Ypres. -Sir Melvin van Horne MBE-

Great lush woods and creeks (good for kayaks and canoes), some open space for frisbee and some shelter for cooking out. Very pleasant, and well-kept! Winding trails.

Looking at the picture, it seems like there is another boat or something over to the right side of the main casino part. Does anyone know what is over on that side? I have never noticed it when I was there.
